Meet Our Clinical Director
Kiley Steele, LMFT, RN
Trauma Therapist, Registered Nurse, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, EMDR Certified Therapist, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - Level II and LENS Neurofeedback Provider.
I believe people do their best when they feel seen, understood, and supported. Many of the struggles we experience aren't signs that something is wrong with us. More often, they're signs of a nervous system that has been working hard for a very long time.
One of the things I love most about this work is helping people make sense of experiences that have often felt confusing or frustrating. Rather than viewing symptoms as something to fight against, I see them as important information. They tell a story about how the brain and nervous system have learned to respond to life. When we begin to understand those patterns with curiosity instead of judgment, it often changes the way we relate to ourselves.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Registered Nurse, and trauma specialist, I've spent years studying the connection between our experiences, our nervous systems, and overall well-being. That work continues to reinforce something I see every day: our brains and bodies are constantly influencing one another, and supporting one often benefits the other.
After years of working with trauma, I wanted to create something a little different. Steele Point Wellness was born from the idea that people deserve a place dedicated to brain-based wellness, one that combines neuroscience, nervous system education, and gentle neurofeedback in a way that feels approachable, thoughtful, and personalized. Whether someone is recovering from an injury, struggling with focus, feeling overwhelmed by stress, or simply wanting to better support their brain health, my hope is that they feel welcomed here.
My approach is intentionally gentle because I don't believe the same process works for everyone. Every nervous system has adapted differently, and I think care should reflect that. Instead of following a predetermined path, I pay attention to how your system responds and let that guide what comes next.
My passion for this work is both professional and personal. Living through my own experience with complex trauma changed the way I understand the nervous system. It gave me a much deeper appreciation for the brain's ability to adapt and for how meaningful small, steady changes can become over time.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me outside with my husband and our four kiddos—camping, kayaking, working in the garden, or convincing my husband that digging "just a few holes" and planting "just a few more flowers" absolutely counts as quality time together.
I don't believe wellness is about getting everything "right." It's about understanding yourself a little better, finding what helps your nervous system feel more supported, and creating a life that feels more like your own. My hope is that Steele Point Wellness is a place where you can begin that process.
Meet Our LENS Technician
David Steele
I believe every person has unique strengths, and that the right support can make a meaningful difference in helping people move forward with greater confidence and resilience.
At Steele Point Wellness, I provide LENS Neurofeedback sessions with a warm, encouraging, and down-to-earth approach. My goal is to help each person feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their LENS sessions. I know trying something new can feel a little intimidating, so I enjoy helping create an experience that feels welcoming, relaxed, and easy to understand.
As a LENS Neurofeedback Technician, I work closely with each client throughout their sessions to help create a positive experience. Every treatment plan is developed and overseen by my wife, Kiley Steele, LMFT, RN, and I work alongside her to provide LENS sessions, answer questions about the process, and help clients feel supported every step of the way.
My passion for this work is both personal and professional. Growing up with severe dyslexia and learning differences gave me firsthand experience navigating challenges that weren't always visible to others. Those experiences taught me that success isn't about changing who you are—it's about understanding how you're wired, building on your strengths, and finding the right support.
Today, I work with students in a special education program within Williamson County Schools, where I support adolescents with a wide range of learning, behavioral, developmental, and emotional needs. I'm also currently completing my Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) training, which continues to deepen my understanding of the nervous system and complements the work we do at Steele Point Wellness.
Before moving into education, I spent more than 20 years in business leadership, customer success, and recruiting. Across each of those roles, what I enjoyed most was building relationships, solving problems, and helping people navigate challenges with confidence.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me spending time with my wife and our four kiddos, trying a new recipe, or outside tackling whatever yard project my wife has decided is this weekend's adventure.
More About Us.
Steele Point Wellness wasn't created because we found all the answers. It was created because we spent years asking questions.
As a family, we've experienced complex trauma, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, epilepsy, dyslexia, and learning differences. Like so many others, we've celebrated victories, faced setbacks, and spent countless hours searching for ways to better support ourselves and the people we love.
Along the way, we realized something important. Many of the challenges we were facing weren't simply about behavior, emotions, or symptoms. They were also about how the brain and nervous system had learned to adapt through stress, adversity, and life's experiences.
That realization changed the questions we were asking.
Instead of asking, "What's wrong?" we began asking, "What is the nervous system trying to tell us?"
That shift changed everything.
It led us to study the brain and nervous system more deeply. It influenced the way we approached trauma, learning differences, stress, relationships, and overall well-being. Eventually, that journey introduced us to LENS Neurofeedback, not as a miracle or a quick fix, but as another tool that aligned with the way we had come to understand the nervous system.
Steele Point Wellness grew from that journey.
We wanted to create the kind of place we wished we had found years earlier, a place where people feel welcomed, listened to, and supported as they explore brain-based wellness. A place that values curiosity over judgment, individualized care over one-size-fits-all solutions, and understanding the nervous system rather than simply chasing symptoms.
Our hope is that every person who walks through our doors leaves with a better understanding of themselves, greater confidence in their brain and body's ability to adapt, and the reassurance that they don't have to navigate that journey alone.
